The goals and plans you wanted to achieve this year should be grounded and derived from what God has revealed to you or instructed you to go after. You gave Him your yes initially but you have to keep giving your yes along the journey. When it gets hard, your answer must still be yes. To be devoted, your yes to Him must override any feeling, doubt, or fear that would lead you to say no in the moment. Circumstances may shift the how but they should not stop your pursuit. Don’t stop. Be devoted to God and His plan for your life. Give Him your “yes”
How To Be Devoted and Giving Him Your “Yes” Daily
- Prioritize meeting with Him daily in the morning. Don’t make this a performance based pursuit. The “how” may look different from day to day. Take the pressure off yourself and just be guided by the Holy Spirit. The goal is to seek Him first and within your time, determine how He would like for you to prioritize your day.
- Take the next step and obey what He tells you to do. Your yes isn’t in your words alone. Your yes is communicated through your words and revealed through your actions.
- Make it a lifestyle. Seeking the Lord and doing what He says should be a lifestyle. The result of this lifestyle is a devoted life to the calling and purposes God has for your life. It should become like brushing your teeth in the morning: Don’t don’t miss it or skip it.
You can’t go for it without giving Him your “yes” daily and following through with His instructions. Become devoted to the things God wants you to be devoted to. Go for it and achieve every good thing He predestined you to accomplish.
